SWE-NESS would like to create a video to educate girls and young women about the different types of engineers involved in designing and manufacturing a well-known product. The video is planned to be used to aid schools in encouraging female students to investigate and consider pursuing a scientific career. The video may also be used for the Junior Girl Scout Science Badge Workshops we hold in Rhode Island and Connecticut every year.
We originally planned to create the video using a plastic spoon, but are having trouble in locating a spoon or plastics company within the SWE-NESS area of southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island. We have developed the script for it, but need a physical location to film and plastics engineers to provide the expertise in honing the script.
