Girl Scout Workshops

The Society of Women Engineers - New England Shoreline Section (SWE-NESS) is once again hosting a Girl Scout badge workshop for Juniors.

Time	9 AM to Noon
Location	Olin Science Center, Connecticut College, New London

We have some exciting changes this year, starting with the badge being offered. This year's badge is an "Our Council's Own" badge developed by the Society of Women Engineers and the Columbia River Council in Oregon. This badge is not generally available in Connecticut and this is the first time we have offered it in Connecticut as workshop.

Stations will cover

Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Materials Engineering

As before, the stations will be staffed with Engineers and hopefully our women Coast Guard Cadets will be returning this year.

Registration will not be handled through Council this year, but through SWE-NESS. There will be no cost to you and the badge will be provided. In order for us to be able to keep this workshop free, we need accurate registration numbers, so we can accommodate as many girls as possible. No-shows take a spot away from another Scout.
